I do polymer clay, the felting looks very interesting to my creative side. lol. love this piece. How do you get the non felted items to stay attached to the felt? Im sure its glue, but didnt know if that would pull the felt apart or what. Never worked with felt, I just stumbled upon it. Thanks for answering back
Hi there and thanks for your kind words! I use super glue for the eyes. I felt a hole in the face and use scissors to make the hole a bit deeper. Then I put a blob of super glue on the back of the eye and stick it in the hole. It's really simple. If you've firmly felted the head, the felt won't fall apart at all.
There are lots and lots of beginner needle felting kits out there that come with everything you need to make a couple of projects. That's how I started. I hope you try it- if you like to sculpt, you'll love needle felting!
Ill keep that in mind *grins* My husband may kill me if I go to another project! LOL. But if I can incorporate the two together....*grins big* who knows.. I see taloned dragons and felted body, polymer hands/feet in my future perhaps.
Thanks for getting back to me. Keep up the great work. I didnt get a chance to look but will ck back, do you have any tuts? If not I encourage you to post some. Would love to see them
Hi there! I needle felted Bear. Needle felting is basically poking a barbed needle into a pile of loose wool. The barbs on the needle cause the wool fibers to tangle and eventually you end up with felt.
